I think it's kind of fitting that my first good deed was for another mom. She's someone I'll probably never meet, but I had to do it.
Backstory: When I was planning the wedding, I joined theknot.com. The girls of the June 2008 board have stuck together online over the last few years, and this week I found out that one of them - who has a daughter around Madeline's age and is 27 weeks pregnant with her second baby - needed help. Her story isn't my story to share, but she is in a bad place and the girls got together to raise some money to help her get through this tough time. I sent a little money for the cause, and as of the last reading, I think they had raised somewhere in the ballpark of $700. My little contribution when coupled with others' will make such a big difference for someone who needs it right now, and I'm happy that this was good deed #1.
