Right now, she's into science. A lot. She loves Sid the Science Kid, Dinosaur Train, legos and making things with play doh. Things are a little hit or miss when it comes to food, which I think is fairly normal for a toddler.
She is also such a great caretaker and loves taking care of her baby dolls. She also tries, sometimes a little to roughly, to take care of Charlotte. Her idea of giving Charlotte a hug sometimes really is just laying on top of her. As you can imagine, that doesn't go over really well with Charlotte or us.
Her best friend at school is Julien. They are pretty inseparable, and his mom told me that while we were on vacation, he sulked and was telling people how much he missed her. I'm dreading May 20th rolling around because that's when she's going to start transitioning to the next room at daycare. He's about four months younger than her, so he won't move up until later this summer. The first thing she said when I told her she was moving to the Rainbows soon was, "is Julien going with me?" Ugh. Thankfully her friends Kate and Rowyn are also moving with her, so there will be some familiar faces.
Last night, I told her the story of her birth. I didn't go into detail about the bedrest and such, but I explained, the best I could about going to the hospital to have her and showed her my c-section scar. We talked about how happy Brian and I were that she was finally here and how much we love her. We talked about how it was the middle of the night and she was really little but that she was so strong.
We also talked about her fun party this weekend. This is the first year we're inviting all her friends from school, so we decided to have it at Gymboree. I'm so glad we did because we have 20 kids and 25 adults coming. Eek! I can't even begin to imagine having that at the house.
Happy birthday our sweet girl. Hard to believe it's been three years since you were our little six-pound darling.
Welcome to the world!
I'm 1!
Look at me. I'm 2!
Being 3 is awesome. It means you get to have lots of bubble fun!
