I have been a fan of Carl Hiaasen's for a long time. He has a great sense of humor, and he has developed some great characters. This book was really a fun read. The story focuses on a girl who is a stand-in for an out-of-control, talentless pop star (think Lindsay Lohan). Some old characters make a return on this great, quick, funny read.
