Madeline got bit at daycare yesterday. They said she was quite the trooper. She cried a bit and then once she was bandaged up, she went and continued to play.
I was somewhat reassured when they said that when a child bites and breaks the skin, they are sent home immediately. Madeline is the smallest kid in the room, and I didn't want it happening again. To keep parents from being upset with another child/parent, they don't tell the bitee what child did it and they don't tell the biter who they bit (did that make any sense?) But after talking with a few coworkers who also have kids in the room, we actually know who it was because apparently this girl has had an issue with biting before. It's also not hard to figure out when you see the daily sign-in sheet and only one kid was checked out at 11:30.
I am just hoping it doesn't happen again because it is uncomfortable for her when she sits in her carseat
