The Purge Begins - And Some of It's More Sentimental Than I Realized

Brian and I both agree that we refuse to move all of our crap to the new house, even though it's significantly bigger than this house. We are using this as a good opportunity to really purge ourselves of the stuff we don't need. And today I made the decision to get rid of one thing that's making me sad just posting about it - this chair.

It definitely isn't the fanciest glider and ottoman out there. But it's the chair I snuggled both our girls in as I rocked them to sleep. It survived many late-night feedings. I even fell asleep in it quite a few times during those late-night feedings with Madeline.

But we just don't need it. It's big and bulky, especially with the ottoman. And we aren't going to need it in the house. It's been a long time since Charlotte let me rock her to sleep, especially now that she has her big girl bed. She goes right to sleep and doesn't want to be rocked anymore. So I'm a bit sad and sappy about it but I know the practicality of getting money for it at this point is better because there's so much more that we need for the house.

I just listed it today. Maybe I'll see if can get them to squeeze in a few last cuddle sessions.
