Madeline and I started the morning out with breakfast and treat-making for a brunch we were attending later in the morning. Madeline has recently started really liking cereal and it takes her a while to finish, so it's the perfect breakfast if I need to work on something else while she's eating. She doesn't quite have the dexterity to enjoy the yummy milk at the end without it ending up in her lap, so we moved to the straw method today with her Rice Krispies.
While she enjoyed her Rice Krispies in milk, I worked on some treats to take to the Easter brunch.
After breakfast it was time for the Easter basket.
Then it was finally time to head out for a brunch and egg hunt thrown by one of my co-workers (who I had heard throws great parties). We had a lovely afternoon with them, and Madeline had a really nice time. She loved walking around looking for eggs, and they have a big enough yard that the kids could really spread out. She also shook each egg as she picked it up. If it didn't make noise, that meant it didn't have candy in it and it was promptly returned to the ground.
