I was just thinking this morning that I needed to get back to my good deeds because we're just a little over a month away from 40. I didn't get a chance to pack my lunch last night, so today I walked over to Subway because I had a coupon.
The thing is, my coupon was a buy one, get one free. And since I'm really watching what I eat, I didn't need two sandwiches. Enter opportunity for good deed 28. I ordered my sandwich, and then I let the guy behind me know that if he got a six inch sandwich too, it was on me. He said he'd been having a really tough day, and that this made his day. I told him just to pay it forward at some point, and he was on his way with his sandwich and I think I even saw a little bounce in his step.

I still had another coupon in my purse, and I was debating doing this again tomorrow. Then I saw a co-worker walk in with her daughter and granddaughters. I took the coupon over to her, and she was thrilled to save a little. Turns out her daughter had brought the girls up to have lunch with grandma. I was so happy I could help make their lunch a little more affordable.
