Merry Christmas Madeline

I think if we had to pick one word to describe Christmas for Madeline this year it would be "overwhelmed." She was totally taken aback by all the stuff and the attention, and as a result didn't really end up opening much/any of her gifts. Once everything was out of the boxes and she had some time to absorb it all, she settled in much better.

Here she is ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's for Christmas Eve.

Coming downstairs on Christmas morning she just stared at everything.

We had her table and chairs from Grandma and Grandpa out of the box and waiting for her, and she instantly started climbing on it. Then she started playing with her toys once things were out of their packages.

And of course, it wouldn't be a toddler Christmas if they didn't spend a significant amount of time playing with the box instead of the toy.

So far, the Potato Head Family seems to be a big winner.
