Weekend Trip to Durango

We hit the road with my dad and little brother Frankie for my birthday and Brian's birthday. Durango is such a great little place, and it's anywhere between three and four hours from Albuquerque (depending on whether I'm driving or Brian's driving). It was so nice to get some great family time without the distraction of video games, computers or just general nonsense you have at home.

Saturday night we went to the Bar D Chuckwagon. It's cheesy and you don't go for the food, but it's a really enjoyable, family friendly night.

Someone didn't like the teeter-totter.

Her hair in this cracks me up.

Sunday morning we took the train, which they had converted to the Dinosaur Train. For those of you without youngsters, this is a wildly popular show on PBS. The girls love it, and it was the perfect amount of time for them. It was a 40 minute train ride, and then they got to do different activities to earn their Nature Tracker Badge.
