Our Breaking Bad Tour Day

We'd been wanting to do this for a while, and we didn't want to spend $50 a person to do the trolley tour, so we fed the kids then put them in the car at nap time hoping they'd sleep for most of it (which they actually did). I found the addresses of most of the stuff we didn't already know online. As you'd imagine, there's a ton out there.

We started with the place we were least likely to be able to see - Don Elario's "Mexican" hideaway. It's actually a bed and breakfast and art gallery in Placitas.

From there we checked out Hector Salamanca's nursing home and the exterior of the place where Gus meets his explosive demise.

Next up was Hank and Marie's house up in the foothills. You'll notice we aren't really in these pics much because most of these places are actually residences and I didn't want to disrupt the natural flow of things for the people who live there.

Then it was on to the White residence. This was really the only place we ran into some other fans, which is how we got a picture with both of us in it.

This shot may not look like anything, but in the episode where Walt and Walt Jr. are out driving and end up buying the car for Junior, they drive right past Brian's parent's house (at the top of this shot). In the show, if you look really close you can actually see Brian's dad standing in the yard.

Next up was the car wash, where we actually went ahead and got the car washed. I'm glad we did because they had some cool tribute stuff inside.

After the car wash, we stopped by Gus' house. He wasn't there.

Last up was Jesse's family's house.

Other places we drove past but didn't actually take pictures of, included:

Saul's office (there's nothing there externally to really be significant)

The restaurant where Mike meets with Lydia is The Grove restaurant

The Crossroads Motel - In season 1, Hank takes Walt Jr. there to show him what becomes of people who do drugs. In season 2, Jesse uses it as an alibi. And I think it's where Walt meets the guy to buy his illegal gun.
