Speaking of baking, this year I made cinnamon sugar pecans, chocolate mint cookies and the above-mentioned peanut butter balls

Madeline hasn't paid that much attention to the tree or the wrapped gifts underneath. She does take a closer look at ornaments every now and then, but I thought we'd spend the whole month telling her to stop pulling on it.

And even though she wasn't feeling well at all when I took these, I love them. She looks so sweet asleep on the blanket by the tree. I also am totally enamored of my new camera lens. I love what it does to the lights on the tree.
